Hello, Please let me know if support forum would be more appropriate place for this post rather than Bug tracker. Lately I've been experiencing various issues with dual-monitor setup, ranging from screen flickering to incorrect resolution in login screen as well as Plasma desktop. I'm using AMD Radeon HD7850 GPU with xorg-driver-video-amdgpu (19.1.0) and two monitors in extended mode, each at 1920x1080 resolution, as well as linux-current kernel (5.11.6) but issues have first appeared 2-4 weeks ago. I've tried rebooting multiple times into LTS kernel (4.14.225) and screen flickering doesn't seem to manifest while booting into linux-current kernel these issues manifest about 50% of the time. Some of the issues: - Booting into login screen sometimes sets both monitors into mirrored mode with 1024x768 resolution and it appears as if this setup is recognized as secondary display because I get no mouse cursor, using TAB doesn't cycle through password field and other on-screen objects, and typing in password doesn't show progress. - After loging into Plasma desktop, primary display connected to HDMI-0 starts flickering. Changing refresh rate to 50hz and then back to 60hz sometimes fixes flickering, other times I'd have to stick to 50hz. - Loging into Plasma desktop sometimes sets resolution of a secondary display connected to DisplayPort-0 to 1024x768 resolution. Changing resolution back to 1920x1080 using Plasma Display Configuration sometimes disables primary display and all application windows are dropped on the secondary display. - Once in a while primary display turns off and secondary display switches to 1024x768 resolution. - I've tried dual booting into Windows to see if there are similar issues but I wasn't able to reproduce it. - Unfortunately I don't have spare HDMI / DisplayPort cables to try and rule out faulty cable, however I regularly use same monitors with another Windows PC and haven't noticed any issues. I have no experience debugging video issues (all thanks to amazing stability of Solus and great work from devs) so I'd very much appreciate if you could point me in the right direction in collecting relevant logs and performing configuration checklist. Cheers. xrandr output: ``` Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3840 x 1080, maximum 16384 x 16384 DisplayPort-0 connected 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 510mm x 287mm 1920x1080 60.00*+ 1680x1050 59.95 1280x1024 60.02 1440x900 59.89 1280x720 60.00 1024x768 60.00 800x600 60.32 640x480 59.94 720x400 70.08 HDMI-A-0 connected primary 1920x1080+1920+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 521mm x 293mm 1920x1080 60.00 + 50.00 59.94* 1920x1080i 60.00 50.00 59.94 1680x1050 59.88 1280x1024 75.02 60.02 1440x900 59.90 1280x960 60.00 1280x720 60.00 50.00 59.94 1024x768 75.03 70.07 60.00 832x624 74.55 800x600 72.19 75.00 60.32 56.25 720x576 50.00 720x480 60.00 59.94 640x480 75.00 72.81 66.67 60.00 59.94 720x400 70.08 DVI-D-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) DVI-I-1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) ```
