The vast majority of JDK-using packages have been upgraded to JDK11, with only a couple remaining. Once these packages are upgraded to JDK11, or deprecated if an upgrade is impossible, JDK8 will have no obstacles to eventual deprecation once it becomes EOL. To be absolutely clear, **Solus is not deprecating JDK8 until it either becomes EOL (2023 at the earliest) or becomes an obstacle to other updates.** This task serves as a goal for getting our entire Java-using software stack onto JDK11 for consistency, not as a guideline for acceleration of JDK8 deprecation. ##### Remaining JDK11-Incompatible Packages [] icedtea-web - Doesn't build against JDK 11 as of version 1.8.4 [] jitsi - Doesn't build against JDK 11 as of version 5633 [] jabref - No stable version builds against JDK 11. Latest 4.x builds against JDK 10, latest 5.x builds against JDK 14
