Was thinking most vim users will also want gvim. Most gvim users will also want vim-colorsamplerpack. And most users of the vim-colorsampler pack (and even regular vim colorschemes) will want the vim-csapprox plugin so the colors work correctly in a terminal. Open source? yes for all 3 How many users? A hefty chunk of vim users for all 3 (maybe vim-csapprox the least, but ironically every vim user should be using it. Only gvim displays the colorschemes correctly without it.). **gvim:** (looks like gvim is just an alternate build of vim with the gui enabled relying on gtk dependencies): *downloading vim* https://vim.sourceforge.io/git.php https://vim.sourceforge.io/download.php *build how-tos* https://aufather.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/building-gvim/ https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/vim_use/gUFaoFjZj50 **colorsampler pack:** http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=625 https://aufather.wordpress.com/2010/08/15/building-gvim/ **csapprox:** https://github.com/vim-scripts/CSApprox http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2390
