Issues for enabling Steam games to run with the Solus runtime.

If I could get some command line log information that would help.

Yeah, they look to be the same oddly enough...
I really don't know but looking at the files they are the same with a quick look
erm that stuff is inside steam already or are they different ?

Hmm, I had no issues running Proton/SteamPlay games with the native runtime so far.

No. LSI uses default settings besides Unity workaround.
Are you forcing 32-bit mode?
@DataDrake here you are.
@aleksvor can you install alsa-lib-dbginfo and update the stacktrace please? thank you.
Seems that issues with Aspyr games aren't resolved still. Borderlands 2 and Civ 5 still segfault on my system, but with different backtraces than before.

Sorry! I'm trying to get this in today. It has been pending because it requires a rebuild of everything using openal
Any update on this ? 🙂

I have successfully managed to track down the issue behind this and it seems that the GitHub tarballs are borked, will have a revision up shortly 🙂

Will have a look at updating openal-soft to 1.19.1 tomorrow to see if that fixes it, I sure hope so...

32-bit nvidia driver installed?

If it works correctly, then there is no issue. An unfortunate consequence of using debs for the runtime.

I just wanted to mention here that the issue also exists with the game "The Dwarves" and that the "-screen-fullscreen 1" unity parameter was able to restore the game to a functional state.

Yeah it's working fine now, sorry. For some reason I never got emailed for @DataDrake's response.
Closing due to lack of response.

Is that even a Solus issue? It looks to me like it's up to GOG to make games work on OSes with new(er) libraries. Maybe it would be enough to put the solution in help center, under gaming?

Unable to reproduce, it's working fine with our Steam.
I don't have Solus installed now but it was still an issue around 3 weeks ago.
Is this still an issue?
We've made several improvements in the last month or so that should have helped this. Are we still seeing this problem?
Sounds like another libmutter fatality.
