I would prefer (3) as well, this originally was opened for (1) and to be honest any version of cura would be better than nothing although I would prefer (3) as well.

+1 for this. I also could really use this otherwise I can't use the Solus laptop to generate files for my 3d printer. I would personally use this often and so far I can not seem to find a flatpak or snap.
