@anewgene I think micro (because it is written in Go) is a single statically linked binary (for download) that you can simply copy to /usr/bin on server and you can use it. No compiling nor external repository (PPA) needed. Obviously this way it won't update automatically. Not trying to dismantle your argument about ne editor, just throwing it out there if it is of any use to you.

I don't think this only applies to Nautilus 3.22. I mentioned 3.22, since it was rolled back in Solus because of other issues. I thought when Nautilus update would land, a simple patch could fix this "exploit" (if upstream didn't do it). I didn't know how long would it take to update Nautilus 3.22.

@Shrug I'm guessing it is not that fun to package.

@Shrug 3700 lines inside this patch, that may something to do with it. :D

@DataDrake alright, didn't know by bad. :)

@FireballDWF That link looks like source code of master repository and not the actual version release. For example if you would package master, when do you update the package in the future? After each git commit? It complicates everything. There is an GitHub issue about tagging releases from 2015 and still nothing.

I don't think Yandex Browser is open source, so it should probably be tagged as Third Party Repository.
I'm only guessing. Could it be that this functionality in GNOME 3.20 applications was provided by file-roller. And in 3.22 nautilus got its own solution.

Alright, thanks for explaining. It is not really a problem since it is really easy to set it manually. :)
I thought nano is already installed by default. If EDITOR is not set then some bash commands like edit-and-execute-command don't work by default.
This issue is related to yours. Just linking here, maybe it is of some value to you.

I think this is an upstream (GNOME) issue, probably not the job for Solus team.

If you have a Android smartphone then you can try to share your wifi connection through USB Tethering. After that you can probably install driver again. This is what I did on my old laptop.
I can't reproduce this issue. I can normally delete the folders. Can you create new folder? What does ls -l /home/ output?

I think this is the correct tarball for latest version: https://github.com/conformal/xombrero/archive/XOMBRERO_1_6_4.tar.gz

Why is this posted here? Sleep should already be available in Solus.
You linked a 32-bit package, I think this is the right link: http://www.rainlendar.net/download/Rainlendar-Lite-2.13.1-amd64.tar.bz2

@smalltimer
Packaging instructions and other common instructions can be found here on wiki.
@smalltimer I think this is the issue you want.

I think what you linked is not a GitBook Editor. It is a toolchain. This is the correct code for editor, but it is deprecated: https://github.com/GitbookIO/editor-legacy

I reinstalled the newest version of Solus. No longer seems to be the issue. It was probably a kernel regression or something similar. Closing, I will open a new issue (with more data) if the problem occurs again.

This is the video I recorded with my mobile phone.
No, normal IPS 1920x1080 60Hz. And other monitors that I tried are the same, but NT panel. Tried both HDMI and DVI-D.

Also tested with older AMD card that uses radeonsi driver (I think). Minimal flickering (normal I guess), not the same as with newer one that uses AMDGPU. So PCI-E slot / motherboard is not defective.

I have recently bought the AMD RX 460 GPU. Out of the box the Solus is using the new AMDGPU drivers if I'm not mistaken, right? For me they have a very bad performance compared to drivers on Windows. Screen flickering, Youtube video frame dropping, bad FPS performance in Linux friendly games (Left4Dead 2, The Talos Principle).

So the same limitation probably also applies to the Oracle JDK, right? If it could go to Third Party it would be awesome, if not than it's really unfortunate news for me, because I'm doing Android development and Android Studio on OpenJDK sucks ass hardcore.
