@JoshStrobl zswap and zram are two different technologies. Closing this as a dupe isn't technically correct.

@JoshStrobl , what needs to happen to get this in next Fridays update? I'm probably the only user but the previous version is simply broken and either requires the fix I proposed, or this update.

Please close this ticket.
Resolved it by doing
- Merge branch 'master' of https://dev.solus-project.com/source/network-manager-fortisslvpn
Ah fuck it... same issue as before.
Unclear how to resolve this. Steps I did to get to here.
I seriously don't know what caused the wrong base version. I cloned the repo and applied the update.... weird.
So I did that again now all seems fine I guess... https://dev.solus-project.com/D2154

A short reply to your notes. I'm not the maintainer of this package and (try to) help by fixing a broken package by submitting a patched build script. Rejecting the patch three times doesn't inspire me to do this more frequent. Especially as the initial patch was valid at the time of submission and the changes requested after were reactions to updates to the package by others.

What are we waiting for?
Updated the patch to the latest revision.

Issue resolved.. was a VPN configuration issue. The update is ready to go live!
Ready to review.
Those duplicate messages come from given information in both git and arc. I'd skip the latter in the next patches.

After applying a fix for network-manager-fortisslvpn the GUI works equally well with 1.5.0 and 1.6.0. The patch can be found here: https://dev.solus-project.com/D1878

I tested this version quite a bit over the last few days. The command line version works mostly as expected. An issue I have had with previous openfortivpn versions on Solus (not on Arch though) is that hostnames don't translate to IP addresses. I see the changes added to /etc/resolv.conf but for some reason the translation doesn't happen. This was an issue in 1.5.0 and still is an issue. I'll follow this up with openfortivpn on github.

Do you expect me to write one as the developer doesn't provide one?

I've updated the package 2.0.0-rc0 seemed to have fixed the issue indeed.
Oct 13 2017
They've released a new version (2.0-rc0) which might be a good time to update the package.

With the latest mesa + intel driver updates the tearing is still there. I saw the folowing quote which might be a workaround (you lose the UI overlay though):

My bad, just saw the test plan.
Re-opened because the real issue was the --video tag not supported. Updating was for bonuspoints :)
PS. there is a new minor version out.

There is an update for this package. I've updated the package locally using /usr/share/ypkg/yupdate.py but when I want to arc diff it I get an error: ERR_CLOSED: This revision has already been closed..

Updated the builddeps to depend on pkgconfig(dbus-glib-1) instead of dbus-glib-devel.

@nevertheless, I have a working eopkg for this network manager applet. It's quite a nice frontend for the tool. However Solus packaging policies prevent me from uploading this package as a patch right now.

@nevertheless, i'll give a go to try and package this as well. I've updated the package for openfortivpn which you can find here: https://dev.solus-project.com/D694

I just noticed the initial patch for inclusion was rejected because it was created in the old way. I hope this is the new proper way to submit a package for inclusion.

Because of this issue and the AppImage version doesn't work (T3792) there is now no way to use KDevelop on Solus.

Solves the dependency for FortiClient SSL-VPN (task link). I didn't add it as a sub task as I don't know about the policies on this.

Combining this application with something similar to this gnome-shell extension makes it even better :)
