I had a similar problem a while back, it seemed to me that my linux setup was more susceptible to bad (old) wiring at the back of one of them, i.e. when I moved it the sound changed, and in windows on the same PC it sounded fine. However as soon as I bought new speakers the problem was solved. Btw I was in hardware support for years and you'd be amazed at what 'quantum entanglement' type issues 'can' happen when the numbers you deal with are high enough lol!

Just installed testing ISO v1 after being on Neon Dev Stable for a few weeks - I'm sure it's a Solus thing - I always use it and I've never seen it before anywhere else. It happened straight after an install and eopkg up. I always set up my prefs in Plasma before anything else. I also tried manually saving a session and that didn't work either so I simply autostart everything for now, no biggie for me.

Ikey, you're such a good man, thank-you for listening and I say yes go ahead with what you said UNLESS you can simply add a notice if a user installs wine and then tries to install a 32-bit program that says 'you need wine-32, go to SC' :-)
Ok, but I saw wine and i installed wine and wine didn't work and wine didn't tell me why :-P
Or rename wine to wine-64 and list it after wine-32 in SC ? It just needs to be clear, not automatically installed.
In my case, I wanted to install Oblivion so I installed WINE but Oblivion didn't install.
I agree that 32-bit doesn't have to be installed for evrey user but there is no message informing the user why the installation failed after installing Wine. Wine should either install Wine32 as a dependancy (after all, playonlinux does) or the user should be informed when they try to install a 32-bit program that they need something more.

I've bought a new drive so this isn't a problem for me anymore. And because no-one else has commented I guess it can be marked as resolved.

So now that it works so easily, do we need a package? Or simply a forum entry. Maybe it's me that assumed it should be a package because it was in other distros but maybe most people know that they can download it from dropbox.

OK, fixed it - I downloaded a fresh install from dropbox as follows:
Yeah I'm on cable to my router and no need for passwords. It's strange though coz it installed once!
My 1st file just said [Formats] Lang=, and the 2nd file didn't exist so I've added it and made it executable and changed both as you say above but this didn't fix it.
I first had Vivaldi installed and I set the default browser to Vivaldi after dropbox icon failed, then I downloaded Qupzilla (& set it accordingly) and then when that didn't work I tried Firefox and did the same. All with no action when I clicked sign in.
Got out of bed with someone else's brain today doh! Anyway, I've now installed nautilus-dropbox and it downloaded successfully and started the system tray icon but if I try to sign in (from the system tray icon) nothing happens (I'm pretty sure this sent me to a webpage in the past but it may have been a popup first). So I guess nautilus-dropbox needs adjusting for plasma.

First time so I'm learning - let me know if there is more for me to do...
I've installed -snapshot and that has the same problem (at least on my KDE plasma), but yes I'll check when -stable is updated.
Josh, I'll gladly do that but I was under the impression that Vivaldi hasn't been updated for a while and this problem is linked to the last sync with the LDM rearrange so it's to do with Solus, not Vivaldi - tell me if I'm wrong.
