Thanks. You are right. It is 'active'. I don't know what changed. May be the 'sudo ufw enable' did something which 'sudo systemctl enable ufw.service' could not do ? Any how, now that 'ufw' is working for me, I am marking it as 'Resolved'. Thanks once again.
Ran that command. Nothing changed.
If I am not wrong it relates to 'mobile broadband' like 3G USB dongles, right ? If so, then I'll not raise a separate issue as I am also waiting for mobile broadband support. If not so, then I'll raise a new issue.

As far as I know, firewalld (and it's gtk applet) does not have anything to do with 'selinux' directly. Almost all major distributions, including Debian, Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Fedora, RHEL, Arch Linux, have it in their official repositories.
