Well it's quite troublesome with a GTX 970. Even using nomodeset and installing the drivers from the repo (nvidia-glx-driver) the hole system is laggy as hell. After manually removing the driver and installing the one from nvidia.com everything is fine. I don't know why.

I think you are misunderstanding. The problem is with the drivers you provide:

I used the nvidia-glx-driver package from the solus repos with this package the named problems occur not with the original nvidia drivers that i install after every kernel update with the .run file.

No chrome keeps working. Just music playing apps have problems. or everthing is broken and i have to switch sound outputs (between digital and analog or vise versa) to get all sound working again.

So i repaired it. The problems don't exist within the original driver from nvidia. I removed every driver package from solus and installed the orginal one wich is the same version and the problems are gone. What are the differences that can cause such problems?

Just for everyone who wants an alternative sshfs works fine under solus and its safer than nfs.

Well the compiling fails on various other tools too such as chrpath so you can close it.

Well i had this behavior a few times, too. You have to delete cache and rebuild the db to get the latest updates. I noticed this when ikey released the new budgie version after 1 day i had no update notification even after hitting the update button of the software center a few times.

Would be really awesome. I am using the latest official driver on solus and no problem so far.

Maybe providing a driver highter than 352.xx like 364.xx would be enough to solve the problem.

Tried to compile it myself but configure fails at /lib/cpp fails sanity check. g++ is installed and is located in /lib/c++

I had the same problem on my setup.

I have the same problem with xcom2 and lsi. The screen is black but sound is playing normally.
