Yeah, not sure but I tested it twice: upgrade the only two packages and reboot to black screen with blinking cursor.

You may have removed polkit-gnome or switch to another windows manager like i3.
In the later case, you need to start the polkit agent on login in i3config

So I found out that Solus already has uGet which is similar.
Although I found that uGet browser integration required users to manually download and run an .sh script in terminal. Which is cumbersome and not user-friendly as Persepolis
