So regarding the "mangled message" in Raven's notification tab: should I log an improvement task for the notifications in Raven to prevent this kind of mangling in the future? Or was the "mangling" not done by Raven?

The current canary version that is available on the 3rd party packages site doesn't work anymore. It forces you to download 0.0.14 (tar.gz or dev) to continue.

The dots please! :)
Yep, that's the same guide I found on the wiki. It only explains how to create a bootable medium and boot into "live" Solus, but no installer guide :)
Does the "next" button change to "finish" on the last step? That's the part that was unclear :)
