Same here. If you install the qgis package the python plugins are missing. In some other distros it is provided as an extra package (python-qgis), but the plugins System is part of the main sourcode as far as I know.

The issue described in this ticket also affects me (intel card as well). Besides I need to plug out-plugin the external monitor after a screen lock to 'wake it up'.
