Yes, disabling "security.webauth.u2f" in about:config, solves the inbox.google.com problem as well.
This might be related:

On my Firefox 58, inbox.google.com cannot expand emails either.

I found the solution to my phone + bluetooth issues on the Arch forums.
After I installed blueman, the Transfer Service plugin yielded some dbus-org.bluez.obex.service issues, which led me to this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=202815

@Logic-gate Thank you!
I can confirm that your instructions work, using the system version of libsodium.

By the way, I had to manually mount /dev/sda1 to /boot, for the sudo clr-boot-manager update command to run without errors.
(For anyone else having this issue)
Thank you very much for helping.

Can I force it to install and use the new kernel?
I have tried changing the version numbers in the boot parameters, but the system just fails to find kernel version 4.9.20-12.
(It is installed)
No, you are right, I am still on the old kernel for some reason.
