This somehow seems to not be an issue
Jan 31 2018
I can try help with this, since I was looking at packaging this as well https://cdn.download.kde.org/stable/applications/17.12.1/src/kaddressbook-17.12.1.tar.xz
can't promise anything as i have only managed to package one software so far, but i can take a look at it today or tomorrow
after re-installation ok Kontact it started to work, I had it as part of the installation script so perhaps something failed there. All works now, thank you .
Since no one else commented and it does work for @folcred I will assume it was my local problem and will mark as resolved
Installing accountsservice fixed the problem for me, thank you
Good luck, otherwise, you did fantastic job, been using it for the past 5hrs, no performance or stability issues, looks fantastic
Looks like its ready for a daily driver until official is released :)
nothing notable in installer, username was set to haon, and full name to Jakub Gawlik, so no special chars
I do agree that NumLock thing is annoying when off. For me personally this isn't an issue really cause I do not mind changing it in the file, but some users might not be willing or perhaps will not even know how.
Yes reversed situation would be the same.
If you devs personally make the decision to keep it on, please feel free to close the issue :)
Just thought this was worth mentioning thinking about most users

yes kmail and korganizer are both installed.
Update. When both kmail and korganizer are closed and i start kontact it will open Summary page, but kontact application is nowhere to be seen
This is after full installation, the output of id is:
uid=1000(haon) gid=1000(haon) groups=1000(haon),10(dialout),11(audio),12(video),15(cdrom),19(lpadmin),28(sudo),70(scanner),90(plugdev),100(users),104(fuse)
My full name is correctly recognized at login screen and in the start menu
on my laptop i have numbers on letters u, i, o, j, k, l, m. When the Numlock is set to on it will press the numbers rather than letters.
I have changed the settings in System Settings/Input Devices/Numlock On Plasma Start to Off which works for the system but not the login screen
can confirm this issue

the change log provided is based on git commits to the version, as MongoDB devs don't seem to provide change log to mongo-tools, just the server itself

Thank you for providing that info. I have misread the docs. Hope this is good enough now
