Meant to put this in the patch notes, but apparently I can't remember anything from one minute to the next today. OpenSCAD 2021.01 builds just fine and works without those two patches, so I removed them.
Trying this again- this time with a packager file configured on my system, and with the Makefile configured properly.

@DataDrake It's likely that I don't understand this right, but it doesn't appear that this (https://discuss.getsol.us/d/4167-i-built-rocm-for-solus-i-need-someone-to-test-it) uses the amdgpu-pro driver. Is there any way it could be made to work? I have access to a modern (Navi) GPU to test with if you'd like me to give it a shot.
