Was having issues pushing just the changed files though arc diff so just re-uploaded everything.
changed component from system.devel to programming.library

@JoshStrobl what's the requested change needed to proceed with this one? Don't see anything here : /

Anyone have any luck packaging this? I tried but the build failed for me. Feel like it may need some special attention around the setup or something.
I did try this out on another distro that packages it and noticed a difference on 'intel_gpu_tools' during video playback. With intel-media-driver, the 'VideoEnhance' engine is active. Not sure what it does, but without intel-media-driver, it's inactive on my setup. Anyway, hoping to see this package get some attention soon!

Thanks @davidjharder @aleksvor, I'm not using gnome-mpv but good to know regular mpv is built to support wayland. I'll figure out the issue on my end.

@davidjharder thoughts on building nnn with O_NERD (preferred) or O_ICONS for icon support?
Oct 14 2021
@davidjharder agree! I've just submitted an update to include font-awesome-ttf as a rundep. First time making changes to an existing package so hopefully this was submitted properly.

@davidjharder nice to see another person using waybar!

Note: also updated the %meson_build and %meson_install macros to %ninja_build and %ninja_install.
Waybar actually built fine with libayatana-appindicator in place of appindicator. System tray also working without any patching (nice surprise!).
Replaced appindicator with libayatana-appindicator in package.yml

Updated link in summary.
Created and submitted new patch. If i understood correctly, all existing directories should remain and we are just to add the /usr/share/defaults/ directory to the bottom of the list to ensure vendor config does not override user config whenever package is updated.
Revised stateless patch
Updated link in summary.
Re-submitting patch as local repository was missing from previous submission.
Revised MAINTAINER.md and LOL at "pretty sure h3o is not your name" : )

I tried adding this through git/arc but getting a bit lost there.. can you accept the MAINTAINERS.md file from here?

This package update is required to build waybar. There are a few others I will need to submit but will wait to see if anything I need to be doing differently before proceeding with any other submissions. Thanks!
This is a follow up to an abandoned submission here: https://dev.getsol.us/D11360
chrono-date is required to build waybar, as mentioned here: https://dev.getsol.us/T9691
Thanks, @Harvey! That did the trick.
Ok, so I packaged chrono-date using a local repository, but waybar was still failing to build. I was finally able to get a successful build after updating the following packages and moving them to the local repo:

Thanks, @JoshStrobl.
I'd be interesting in learning to build, patch and maintain this but I wasn't able to find all dependencies in the Solus repos. Any ideas on how to proceed in these cases? I've listed the ones I couldn't find below:

I was able to download both files before they were removed. The wofi package works great. The wofi-devel package did not install, due to the following error:
Hey, thanks for taking a shot at building it @GZGavinZhao . If you share your build (or let me know where I can grab it) I can run it on my end and check if it's working. Given it's a program launcher I'd just test that it runs and launches programs as expected, in a wayland environment.

Hi Reilly, this wouldn't work in X11 but I am 95% sure (maybe less now) that I am running wayland in Solus via Sway and a tty login. When running Sway this way (vs through LightDM) I notice that Xorg is not running, and Wayland programs such as Sway and Wofi (installed from source) do run. I also have my Firefox running in a Wayland environment as confirmed on about:support. I'm not a tech person so could be missing the obvious here, but could swear I'm using Wayland right now lol
