I am unsure since I have recently switched distro's to Manjaro. The problem does not occur on Manjaro with kernel 5.15.78. I guess you can close this as no one else reported the problem.

Those 3 links above pretty much sums up all the issues I am seeing.

Is there any way just to roll back a single package such as the budgie desktop with its dependencies ? I miss the ability to re-install previous versions like I could on Ubuntu.
yes correct. It is since the last budgie desktop update. On my other laptop which I did not update it still works fine.

Some further info. This fault occurs on both my laptops with built in intel GPU. One is an old install of Solus of a few years rolling updates. My second is a fresh install a few months ago due to a SSD drive upgrade. Both are fully updated. Both the same fault.

Still getting the same seg fault and now running on the updated mesalib 22.0.5. For info I do not have the 32 bit version installed.

sudo eopkg check found 1 broken ttl font package which I fixed. Also tried the mesalib suggestion but still the same issue. I can confirm this fault also exists on my other laptop of a different brand that has a fairly recent new install of Solus. I will see if it gets fixed on some update.

It used to work but must have broke on the last update or so. My Solus is fully up to date using the above repo which I guess is stable. Also on Budgie.

That works !! starts fine with --disable-clutter
Read this... might explain it what is happening. Last comment says a recent fix in geeqie fixes it but will it need the sources from git. BTW I am not a dev, just an end user.
I am not running unstable, could there be some update of the x system that fixes this issue which has not made it into stable ?
odd. I have removed all the config files related to this program to simulate a clean fresh first time install and it still fails. This is on 2 machines. The laptop which I did not update it works fine on.
If I compile the program myself from source it works fine. Needs a rebuild by the maintainer.

Same issue on an Asus X75V laptop. The power button does nothing when it is set to power off in settings but works if it is set to suspend.

I am not a developer so I am not sure what is meant when a 'patch' is required. However for info the latest stable 1.4 tar version compiles and runs fine on Solus so just needs packaging I guess.

Development resumed on this application 5 months ago. New 1.4 version is supported by most other distros.

This may be an alternative if the requirement is something more recently updated that is still being developed.
