Not going to test anything, unfortunatelly. If the file for dcp-2512d brother file wasn't updated in the last past weeks I can say it doesn't work !
I managed to install the driver via rpm provided by Brother https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadtop.aspx?c=eu_ot&lang=en&prod=dcpl2512d_eu

I tested the DCP-L2512D drivers printing and scanning but it's not working, I was able to install it and do print requests but the printer didn't print a thing !

LibDevil is a Developer Image Library used for working with images in different programing languages like C++.This library is a must have for game devs that use Lua programming language in combination with Love2d. You cannot build other versions of Love2d without this library ! Why the need of older versions you may ask, you need them to run old code, I want to upgrade a project that uses love2d 0.9.1 and I cannot build it from source(the ony way to install it as it's old) without the libdevil and libdevil-dev. I tried to install libdevil from source but it's not recognized in the system paths

How are we supposed to install drivers if you don't give us a way to compile them?. You just close issues and don't listen to the community at all.

I am sorry for producing inconveniance. I just wanted an argumented answer, not the short usual one.
Illegal to have some drivers. There are not even commercial products for god sake. You are just afraid of entering the field of supporting different hardware. If it was a support for dkms I wouldn't be here. Guess what?! You are not supporting that either. I understand that you don't ship the drivers but as a customer support service you can try to help me. If not, why is this site meaning?!
I wanted just some guidance to find a way of getting it, not for you to provide it.

Did you find any solution?? I am really struggling with setting up the driver, ar least show me a way of building it or redirect me to one
