@DataDrake LaTeXila needs to be updated. It has not been updated for a long time. The project itself has been renamed to Gnome-latex. We need to update Solus so that LaTeXila is related with Gnome-Latex.
Here is the webpage that describes this: https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/GNOME-LaTeX

MKL has these highly optimized Core math functions that includes BLAS, LAPACK, ScaLAPACK, sparse solvers, fast Fourier transforms, and vector math which is useful in scientific computation.
Now, Granted the primary goal of Solus is not scientific computation but MKL would be a nice addition to have as a third party application if its not too much work.

I work on developing applications with OpenMP and OpemMP support for clang would make my life a lot easier. Would be lovely if clang that comes with Solus supported OpenMP.

Thank you for the reply, I have texlive-all installed. I did a bit of research on this issue and it looks like that particular version is broken.
I have since removed texlive that i installed from the solus repo and manually compiled it from source by downloading it from https://www.tug.org/texlive/ and the manually compiled version works fine.
