Obviously I'd much prefer that budgie-screenshot-applet just continue to get some love, since I think that would be the most sensible, maintained, and integrated option going forward, but given that Shutter offers functionality unique to it and not available in other options like Gnome Screenshot, I don't see why it can't be added.

well...I think it has a great features...such as using the sftp / ftp for uploading photos as well as editing them...and more...the last version is from 24-Dec-2014! which it's really old...but I'v been using it greatly with Debian (an old version too not the latest one)
