Sorry about that! Should have done more research it seems.

For what it's worth, to get the IBus daemon to run at startup using the aforementioned Startup Applications manager, one would just add a new entry with the command field set to "ibus-daemon."

This has been sitting here pointlessly for 2 weeks, so if there's an issue with the patch feel free to say so.
I've been pretty busy lately and haven't found the time to work on this, so if anyone else wants to fulfill this request, feel free to do so; otherwise I'll take care of it when I have time. ^^

Ah, okay. ^^
I could be misunderstanding what you're trying to accomplish here, but couldn't you just have Kodi and Steam opened in separate workspaces and then switch between them using 'ctrl'+'alt'+'left'/'right'?
So, I only chose to forego the use of %make_install because, for whatever reason, it wasn't installing all of the files; it excluded the executables, icons, and a number of others as well.
That said, after trying it again everything seems to be working fine and I also noticed that icons weren't being installed to the appropriate directory (they were being dropped directly into the icons folder so I've fixed this along with the lib directory.

Updated patch.

Ah, okay. ^^ I'll fix this and icon thing up when I've made it back home. I've tried the multiple sources thing before and didn't realize that it did anything, so thanks; that's really helpful.

Oops, yeah that's kind of important, sorry about that.
Maybe next time I should try not doing this stuff when I'm half asleep haha.

I don't think so; everything in the patch refers to GNU Go.
Budgie IBUS support needs to be finished before we can do anything with input methods such as this one. It is technically on hold right now due to Ikey being away, but it is set to land in 1.2.1.

- My bad. Couldn't find a better source at the time and didn't think to check GNOME for some reason. Committing this to memory for future reference haha.
I have this packaged and installed locally; just missing two components it requires to run at the moment of which I'm packaging now. ^^

Ah, I checked the available components, but apparently missed the additional game components; games.emulator is definitely more suitable. Thanks. ^^
