I dunno man, these don't look like it. Besides I can confirm this is new with 5.12. But, it's not perfectly reproducible. I have only seen this happen once, and a logout fixed that.

By default it doesn't show all tray icons, qbittorrent and vlc show up fine for me, but they are hidden by default. However, the system tray seems to be broken after some action. Was this comparison done on 5.12?

Update: Apparently it seems that issue is connected to login managers since I can enter the kernel easily through CTRL + ALT + F1... The strange thing though is, that the issue reproduces on all GDM, LightDM and SDDM... Sometimes it freezes upon boot and sometimes it freezes after a minute or two of not logging in. When it freezes reboot is the only way to get it working again. Maybe it's some kind of Solus configuration that doesn't play nicely with my hardware?

Skype for Linux Preview has a new version availible (not a preview anymore, but a stable version) for quite some time so it would be nice that a maintainer updates it.
