I've got this problem with my ssd, lightdm start too quickly, before graphics.
In my case solution was to create /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf and put in it :

Same here with a Fuji X100T who works out of the box in Ubuntu 16.04
"nautilus gphoto2://[usb:001,003]" works also
