Thanks for the suggestion! :) Adding
processor.max_cstate=5 idle=nomwait rcu_nocbs=0-7 iommu=pt
now allows me to boot kernel 4.20. However, I am still unable to boot any kernel without:
That should probably be addressed in a new thread though, as my primary issue has been resolved. Thanks for your help! :)

I know I'm a bit late, but as the original poster, I felt I had to confirm that it is solved for me as well. :) Thanks for the quick fix!

Hm... Let's see... Name: Check. Homepage: Check. Reason for inclusion: as I said, it's an awesome theme. Is it open source: I marked as package request, not third party. Who/how many will use: I mean, it's a theme, so... n/a? and finally, Link to source: check. What exactly is the issue?

I get that this probably won't change anything, but I just wanted to add that this has also affected me for the last few weeks, even though it used to work fine.

Interesting. I could have sworn I double checked that already. But I just tried again, and there was no issue. Sorry for wasting your time. lol.

As of gnome 3.26.2, this appears to be solved by upstream. :)

My apologies. I gave the wrong link on Google+. (I blame lack of sleep.)

Update: I'm going to close this, as it appears to be an upstream issue. (I hope that's ok.) Just tested on Fedora 27 Beta, and it does the same thing.

Confirming that this issue has been fixed. :) However, it appears we still suffer from the same upstream issue as described here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-gnome/+bug/1477536
Not running Solus currently, but I'll fire up a VM and test. :)

Is there not a driver included in gutenprint? Also, if you're trying to use it over wifi, for now you'll have to type the ip in for the system to find it.

Haven't tried DOTA2 yet, but Ballistic Overkill recently added vulkan support, and it also crashes immediately after startup. However, they are also having other issues atm, so it could be a game issue.
Just commenting to say I have to same card, and haven't had any issues.

Confirming that this affects me as well. However, if you have multiple users, you can change other user's passwords, just not the one currently signed in.

Just to update, this still does not work with a fully updated system. Also, here is the relevant line from pastebin: "error while loading shared libraries: libaudio.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I've tested with all combinations in LSI. Same result. Also does the same thing with the GoG version.
