Can I at least hope, after more than two months, to see this issue out of backlog ?
Because it's still there: installing nvidia-current on a fully updated Solus causes budgie-wm to eat more or less 18% of CPU on idle (instead of 4% with Intel) with temperatures soaring into the 70/80° C almost instantly and never decreasing.
Using another DE (tried both Mate and especially Gnome) does not causes this issue.

Just to add something (hopefully) useful, as reported here it seems that the problem lies with budgie not playing well (for some reason) with the latest Nvidia drivers.
I'm more than willing to help to gather info on the subject, by the way.
