The issue is that the OpenCPN cmake system is a bit odd. It detects WxWebview as unavailable, but still sets the build paramater. This paramater seems to be exposed to the command line as well as other variables, but ignores them all.

1st impressions:
- sizewize it is larger than earlyoom.
- it teminates / kills the real cuplrit in my tests better then earlyoom when there are multiple large programs loaded.
I run earlyoom but I cannot compare it to the other mentioned solutions. I chose earlyoom since it's only dependency is glibc, which might be more easy. However, I am a Python fan. Should checkout nohang too, I suppose.

Yeah python-geoip was already installed. It does not provide the geoiplookup program.

@JoshStrobl Ok, I just found this also needs the patch for the high CPU issue, although it was listed in the commits for this tag. So the current packaged Geary is best.

@Girtablublu yes, it built fine and have used it for a bit. I did not notice any issues yet. It seemed a bit snappier. I have not yet sent an email with it. Just reading/deleting/archiving.
To add to this ticket. I have adjusted the package recipe and built and run this version. I am happy to provide it if necessary.
Hi @Jacalz, I see your point. And also that there is an 3.32.2 released. Which has some cherry picked patches and other improvements. I will create another task for it. This one can be closed.

Using real name for accountability purposes.
properly built for unstable
bump release nr
(tried to) add pspec_*.xml abi_*
Even if those were not changed? I added them to git and amended the commit. But since there are no changes in those, nothing extra get's picked up.
I think I got it.

There is a snap available (edge version). https://github.com/msis/OpenCPN-snap
But it uses some font that I do not have. It also reports some missing modules:
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gail"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "atk-bridge"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
