Manually unlocking the keyring is expecting behavior if you have auto-login enabled. If you login with a PW then the keyring will unlock automatically with that PW if the PW is the same. When you don't have to login then you will need to manually unlock the keyring

@piotrpalek is this still an issue? It has been a long time since there was an update to this task, and there have been many updates since this issue was opened. The default sound system now is pulseaudio, rather than ALSA. Thanks.
@solusitor , I just tested with a Budgie VM by setting my keyboard input to Russian and locking the session. At the unlock prompt, I was able to change input back to English and unlock the session. Can you confirm if this works for you or if the bug is still present? Thanks.
Closing due to lack of response, and that the issue cannot be reproduced.

I see similar behavior, but not the same, on a Budgie VM running unstable, updated. It was created with the 4.4 ISO.
After rebooting, I see "Unlock Login Keyring"
This should resolve the issue, however it'll need some testing. If you're on unstable you can update and give it a try.
Update to 0.1.14.
Update MAINTAINERS file to new format.

Closing, since the user no longer uses Solus and no one was able to reproduce
