I managed to build it on Solus.
I needed some aditional libs besides system.devel: qt5-base-devel, python-qtpy, mesalib-devel

I managed to fix this for my laptop. Apparently the fault lies with the nouveau driver, so it needs to be blacklisted.
Simply uninstalling xorg-driver-video-nouveau did not work.
Shutdown, restart and sleep are all fine now.

Same laptop (ASUS GL552V), same issue. When trying to reboot, from the live session or installed on disk, the system freezes. Being on battery or disconnected from wifi (as I saw in one Fedora thread) does not remedy the problem.
The workaround for me was to install the nVidia drivers, so this may be tied to the Intel drivers somehow (or nouveau).
