Solus and all packages are current as of today. Issue has been present for a few months.

Could it be related to the absence of /etc/crypttab?

Also, just to clarify, the /boot partition is not in the md mirror, just root and swap. The ESP seems to be working fine since I'm able to get into initramfs.

I did a clean install last night (Budgie). After running updates and rebooting, I get a similar error, but instead of .service failed to load: No such file or directory, I get .service not found.
