Removing unneeded dependencies.

Looll XD
Argh.. Now I won't be able to stop until I understand why it fails for me XD
Dropping mariadb-libs, no longer needed.
I've been digging into this. As JoshStrobl has pointed, it is affecting several distros, but a post in an opensuse forum revealed that a new package build against old wxwidgets2.8 series solved the issue made me give this idea a try. I've rebuilt amule against wxwidgets2.8 and can confirm that it solves this problem. I delivered the package to two friends who are using Solus and amule. With previous version amule was completely unusable due to the memory leak making the system useless. With the new version amule runs without any issues. One of my friends has been running it for 14 hourse with same amount of work/downloads as before, while previously he had to stop it in 10 minutes.
I'm sending a patch for consideration: D242.

Removed gnome dependencies. Still needing some investigation
about warnings under mate about missing adwaita theme engine,
but at least this could be an starting point, and akonadi can
be started and keeps running without it.
Fixing the spelling errors. Thanks for the review, paying more
attention to this in the future :D.
Fix bad spelling and style, remove unneeded reference to macOS

Those are perfectly understable reasons, and I really appreciate that you took the time to explaining them. Thanks.
I know it's comestic change, but I think that keeping different version numbers can be confusing for final users. For example in ubuntu gnome: they mix packages from different gnome versions and the conclusion for many users -and sometimes you can see that in the media too- is that they don't have a clean implementation of gnome (which in fact used to be right): old nautilus version here, new gnome-x package there... I know there's no kde version of Solus atm, but better be prepared for the future? Just my opinion, but I understand if you prefeer to keep it in it's actual state.

Corrected in D132. Sorry for the late response...
Fixed version (never send patches before first coffee in the morning)
Rebuild with latest version of akonadi-calendar
Corrected source, didn't realize that there was
a new version of the package (sorry)

Tested now, can confirm that the game works with any of the two libraries for me...
May 10 2017
For me, tested with "Baldure's Gate Enhanced Edition" (purchased through steam) the game works with json-glib linked to libjson.so.0. Didn't test if it can work with json-c too. Can do that test if you find it useful...
Ah! Just run into this issue playing Baldure's Gate... I came to the same fix from the same source... (arch linux forums) XD.

I managed to fix it and upload as text. Just in case someone else runs across the same issue, you can specify the encoding when running arc diff. In my case arc diff --encoding ISO-8859-1 made the trick.
Sorry for the mess with the binary file. I encountered this message using arc diff:
"Invalid Content Encoding (Non-UTF8)
This diff includes a file which is not valid UTF-8 (it has invalid byte
sequences). You can either stop this workflow and fix it, or continue. If you
continue, this file will be marked as binary.
You can learn more about how Phabricator handles character encodings (and how
to configure encoding settings and detect and correct encoding problems) by
reading 'User Guide: UTF-8 and Character Encoding' in the Phabricator
documentation.

That's when I manage to free some space to install some VM XD Time to delete old junk is approaching XD
Hadn't seen this post. I always test the packages in Budgie, next time I'll test under mate too, just in case.
Corrected with new sources. Thanks!
Thanks for the review, sunnyflunk! (had no idea of this issue with kde tarballs). Attaching new patch with the change in the sources. Hope this one is ok.
Not finished yet, needs more subtasks ("a man must sleep") :D

Here's what I had so far, in case you want to hava a look at it... The program builds and works, but in the documentation they talk about the option of using a python terminal. Would be nice to have the feedback of someone who knows all the possibilities of this software...
Nice! For me last time I checked I could launch and use the program, even play with the molecules and all, but apparently the program should have an option for python scripting, and that part was missing... Some configuration issue, I hadn't time to look at it

Count me in. I would be happy to help with mantaining some packages if you find it appropiate.
