I think enough arguments for re-evaluation have been given.
a) Why the original rejection might not have been justified
b) Why this program could be useful and how it's functionality is not covered in Solus repository

Also I think the 2-distro rule got a little misinterpreted here (which is by now called 2-distro-waiver). It can be include applied to include packages that would otherwise not pass the Package Inclusion Policy but it is not a criterion to reject a package from inclusion.

Neither of the two is "better" as they suite very different use-cases.
