Yeah things became less derpy in 10.2.7, which is the current git stuff. The fixes will come so we'll leave this issue open until then

Maybe completely irrelevant, but I usually don't have the pin-to-panel option unless I reboot my computer. But then it works.

Yea. I can in fact confirm that 10.2.7 resolves this issue. My laptop has a fresh Solus install with 10.2.6 and I don't have a pin-to-panel option. Desktop with Budgie git, I do.
Thanks for reporting this, seems to be a fallout from our Qt5 changes. I'll rebuild it the first moment I get!
