Concerns about losing accessibility
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Dear developers.
I read this:

https://joshuastrobl.com/2021/09/14/building-an-alternative-ecosystem/

This raises my concerns about whether the level of Solus accessibility for blind users that we currently have will be maintained.
So I just want to ask you: please don t forget about blind users. Personally, I use MATE because it is currently the most accessible graphical environment for the blind. But I know for sure that there are blind users who are already trying to use Budgie.
I am also very grateful to you for allowing me to use Solus, as this is exactly the distribution I was looking for. I would very much like this distribution to be the best, including in terms of accessibility for blind users.
Sorry if this is not the place for such appeals.

We are committed to providing an accessible environment for our users. The last thing we want for Budgie is take away from the experience that we have cultivated there. So rest-assured, these things are certainly on our radar.

This sort of discussion is best suited to our Forums (https://discuss.getsol.us/), so I will be marking this as an Invalid Task, despite it certainly being a valid concern.
