Hello.
I already tried what is listed in https://getsol.us/articles/troubleshooting/general-troubleshooting/en/
When I try to install a package, eopkg works just fine.
But when I try to update my system (it's been almost a month, I don't know exactly, it may have a relation with solus 4.3 's release) with "sudo epokg up" , eopkg freezes. I joined a screenshot (in French), to illustrate
even if given an hour, two hours, the update does not finish. I always need to kill the process in order to get control the terminal (Konsole still responds, I can create other tabs etc... I just can't control the one with eopkg freezing), ctr + C only adds "^C" on the last line.
I notices that killing the process sometimes reduces the amount of packages you need to update when you retry "sudo eopkg up"
Reproduction step (100% reproduction rate on my machine) :
- Boot to Solus
- Open a tty or terminal emulator
- Write "sudo eopkg up" in said tty or terminal emulator
- enter root password when asked
- let eopkg go through the updating process untill it freezes like in the screenshot
Have a good day
Edit : after a test today, it froze when I tried to install retroarch
Edit 2 : I had to do a udo eopkg rdb and it fixed it up. Ticket can be closed.
