Installer bug
Migrated to GithubPublic

Description

When I was installing the newest Solus OS today I got an error message. Turned out I had my 1.5tb drive mounted. I guess it should've unmount automatically during the installer.
Note that the checkbox my cursor is located on is checked. After I unmounted it manually it worked fine.

Hi there,

I had the very same issue with the latest ISO, I presumed it had to do with my disk layout / logical volume setup since I span one volume over several devices, but your setup looks pretty much as if that actually are simple disks or am I mistaken?

But I can as far confirm, I ran into this too and that needs looking into.

Yes my disks were simple configured. /home on my HDD, / on the SSD.

This is a known bug and won't be fixed until the installer is rewritten or someone has time to patch the existing installer.

@DataDrake is there any more information on what is the actual issue? I'm tempted to look into that.

@STiAT Pretty straight-forward. If a volume is mounted in the Live system and you try to install to it, the partition management doesn't know how to unmount it before trying to format it.
