Plasma loses desktop effects after waking from sleep

Description

Since the last update whenever I wake Plasma from sleep I lose all animations, transparency, etc. after waking from sleep. To fix I have to log in and out again.
Using Dell Lattitude 7920 with i7 processor and Intel UHD Graphics 620.

I can provide any further information if needed. I couldn't find this bug elsewhere.

I can confirm the issue, desktop compositing is being disabled.

As a workaround, press ALT+Shift+F12 to re-enable it.

Confirmed the bug still exists with the latest plasma update on unstable

can you guys delete .config/kwinrc and see if this fixes the issue?

so gonna close it then, as comment above a general fix is deleting kwinrc, what the exact cause is for this issue I Dont know
