Update readline to 8.0.004
Open, NormalPublic

Description

Releases 7.0 and 8.0 brought some bug fixes and perf improvements when working with UTF-8 locales, but the main reason why I'm asking to update it is a possibility of building GDB with system-wide readline instead of bundled library. Our readline is too old for GDB 10.1, and I'm not submitting update myself since it's a part of system.base.

If it's too old for GDB 10.1 then why did you submit a patch for GDB as D9919?

Since we aren't using system readline for GDB at this time anyway. I just noticed that there is an option for using system-wide library when I studied the "configure" script and tried to enable it.
Should I try with GDB 9.1?

I don't have a problem with seeing a readline update, but it might might want to wait until after I update all the ABI reports.
