This is still, FOSS software and it is an alternative to ibus-unikey, Unlike ibus-unikey, ibus-bamboo is still maintained, despite being a fairly new project. There are several advantages for Vietnamese typists on ibus-bamboo, for example, there are multiple ways to type with different standards. It also applies newer standards of accenting the words and doesn't suffer from the error of not bulleting in Google Docs.
