New Iso install file
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

  • Name of the software: Eurorra
  • Project homepage: www.eurorra.com (in development)
  • We need iso packages that we could install on laptops as we will sell custom made laptops (like System 76), but we would prefer an already established Distro as our base, but it needs our logo and some other software as default installation on it so it saves us time in general.

-Software we would include:
Mozilla Firefox with DuckDuckGo browser,LIbre Office, subline, WinRar, Stacer, Davinci resolve, OBS, Buttercup, PDF studio, Audacity, freecad, VLC with Darklounge theme, GIMP, Blender

Boot logo should be as attached (with white background).
Solus Budgie Iso file as default.

Based on the software i hope all is allowed if not please advise alternatives.

Yea sorry but that isn't going to happen.

  1. We would almost certainly require our branding. We have no intention on providing rebranded forms of Solus. You don't see other entities like Canonical, Red Hat, Fedora, elementary, Microsoft, Linux Mint, etc. provide rebranding options. Additionally we don't have any plans on having any form of a boot screen given implementations like plymouth significantly increase boot times.
  2. Some of the applications you're asking for are either unable to be legally redistributed, wholly proprietary with additional facilities e.g. EULAs that couldn't be reasonable enforced or presented to users, etc.
  3. We have yet to implement our plans for a multi-stage installation process with OEM-oriented installs that would satisfy our requirements.
  4. We do not have any measures in place to ensure we would get a reasonable percentage of the sales due to being the individuals that would be provided the OS support, the time and manpower.
  5. We have no form of a certification process for OEMs, which we would want to have in plan.
  6. There is no actual evidence that as a company you even exist. You have a stock wordpress, with no product listings, shipping hardware, specifications, legal info and otherwise, etc. Take no offense to this, just that even if the above items were satisfied, there's no indication that you have a product and thus we wouldn't be able or willing to put in the time and effort into providing custom installation media for hardware we wouldn't have in the first place.

You are better off getting into discussions with another vendor such as Canonical. Best of luck. Please bare in mind that distribution of Solus (pre-installed or otherwise) for commercial purposes without our consent is not permitted.
