Description

I'm experiencing a severe performance regression with firefox 76.0.1 installed from the repo. The same version binary download from the mozilla website works as expected.

FWIW I gotta say that I didn't notice any slowdowns, but YMMV.

Edit: actually, could you say where exactly you had regressions? Maybe they're unrelated to the commit I linked.

Where I'm experiencing the most noticeable regression is in Shadertoy, https://www.shadertoy.com/new should run at 60fps on any modern hardware with WebGL enabled yet I'm getting at most 20fps (and higher CPU usage than usual).

Is this still an issue? I'm getting 144fps in shadertoy with Firefox 80.0.1, WebGL enabled.
