Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not?
It provides the possibility to integrate video into Ardour. It is the standard way to do audio production for film on Linux.

Yes, GPL 2.0

If it is open source, please provide a link to the most up to date, versioned source tarball/zipfile. master.zip links will not be accepted.

The latest release looks to be from 2018 and the project sadly seems to be more or less unmaintained since 2018. I am sorry, but I don't think that this will be accepted due to that. However, it really does looks like a useful project for Jack and Ardour users...

Didn't know that :/ unfortunate. Been using it on Ubuntu Studio without problems, but since it's unmaintained I understand the reasoning for not including it.
