Closed, ResolvedPublic

Name: JetBrains Mono

Why should this be included in the repository? If we already offer similar software in our repository or third party, please provide information on what your proposed software does that our existing offerings don’t (differentiators).

We already have similiar fonts like Fira Code or Hack. But JetBrains Mono is used in all JetBrains IDE products starting from version 2020.1 and it would be great to use the same font in other apps such as text editors, terminals, etc. too.

Is it Open Source (yes/no): Yes

JetBrains Mono typeface is available under the Apache 2.0 license and can be used free of charge, for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

Who and how many users do you anticipate will use this software?

Many developers who are using JetBrains products on Solus.

It definitely looks like an amazingly good font for development. Wouldn't have anything against using this is my default going forward 👍

Been using this as my terminal font for a month or so, i really like this font. 👍

Not triaging this, but I do want to mention that most of the fonts in the repos are needed for a package, and standalone fonts aren't usually accepted. Will be pleasantly surprised if it does get accepted, though-- it's a great font that I use on pretty much everything!

Needs a maintainer and I'll allow it as an alternative to Hack for monospace fonts geared towards development. Just don't go asking for the Golang font, @JoshStrobl and I both think it's hideous :p

I'd be happy to maintain it, unless @maveonair would rather do it.

@serebit Please go ahead :)!

I think this should be able to be closed as resolved now that it has landed :)
