Black screen and freezes while logging in or out

Description

Hello, I'd like to report two small issues I've found on a fresh Solus Budgie install.

  1. After typing the password in the display manager and logging in, the whole screen becomes completely black for a few seconds before starting the desktop enviroment.
  1. When pressing WIN + L to go back to the login screen, the system freezes for a few seconds before the system actually goes back to the login screen.

Both issues are happening on a fresh Budgie 4.1 install, fully updated and with no modifications whatsoever.

I'm using a desktop PC with an Intel i3 6100 CPU, a Nvidia 1030 GPU (I've tried installing the proprietary Nvidia drivers, but it doesn't help) and a Crucial M.2 SSD.

My PC is usually extremely fluid with no lags of any kind and I can't reproduce these issues on other distributions (I've tried Ubuntu, Zorin, Fedora and Manjaro - logging in and out is blazing fast in all of them).

I know these are minor annoyances, but I thought I'd report them anyway.

This issue has been deemed by the developers to be an issue related to Budgie, our primary desktop environment. As Budgie is a distro-agnostic project, developed by Solus but leveraged by other operating systems and projects, we maintain a dedicated issue tracker for it. This issue tracker can be found at https://github.com/solus-project/budgie-desktop

We encourage you to search for your issue there and if your issue is not found, please create it. Bugs filed, tracked, and resolved there ensure the wider Budgie community can engage in a solution to your issue. Do note that we do not consider your issue "invalid" by virtue of being closed here, but rather are trying to maintain the distro-agnostic nature of Budgie as well as maintaining focus of Solus-specific issues on this tracker.
