When I've installed LibreOffice onto a new installation of Solus, I notice that it gets assigned as the default program for seemingly any file extension it can open. Text files suddenly require opening a word processor (Writer) instead of a text editor (Gedit), and pdfs open in Draw (?) instead of Evince. Ideally, LibreOffice would only take the file extensions that have not already been taken by another program (e.g. .doc, .odt, .xlsx, etc.) and leave the sensible defaults in place.
