Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not?
It's useful application to remote pc especially if you use the operating system as a tv (kodi) or presentation, and it's compatible with Linux but not Solus unfortunately.

Is it open source?

If it is open source, please provide a link to the most up to date, versioned source tarball/zipfile. links will not be accepted.
If there are no upstream releases but the inclusion policy is otherwise met, please provide a link to the source repository (i.e. GitHub)

Actually I don't know I'm new to Linux ( 6 months user ) switched to Manjaro but I switched to Solus cuz its more stable and simple and I wish you include most used packages into your distro

We have KDE Connect which is both FOSS and is desktop-environment-agnostic. Did you try it?

Or, if really don't like KDE stuff, you could request GSConnect, which is the equivalent for GNOME.
