I'm going to be closing this task:

  1. x264+x265 are currently in progress locally and will be pushed out today, assuming no major blockers.
  2. I sent out an email to Fastly to inquire on the current status of the project in their Open Source program, expected service restrictions, as well as to work with them on ensuring our Fastly configuration is set up in a manner that provides users with the best experience possible. Fastly has been incredibly responsive in the past to my support inquiries, especially this time last year during the infrastructure move, so I am confident that should we continue to be in their Open Source program, we'll be able to get our Fastly-backed repository CDN up quickly. As this process is underway and is not solely relying on my actions to move forward, I'm going to consider that matter resolved pending any additional work and responses privately.

x264 + x265 updates + rebuilds in progress. Okay for realsies I can move to Week 42 now :P
