The current Emacs version 26.3 in the repository was built before the update of gnutls to 3.6.10. Emacs was updated on 24th of Sep and gnutls on 30th.

This can cause a strange error if the user sets load-prefer-newer t:

Symbol's value as variable is void: \213

and is investigated here. Even though the error message does not imply it, it is related to gnutls.

I have rebuilt the package locally via solbuild and everything appears to be working smoothly again.
