Downgrading to 20190514 fixes wifi. This issue appears to be the same one as described here, here, and here.

I tried building a new version of the linux-firmware package pointing at the newest commit in the linux-firmware repository and the issue persisted. Either I made a mistake while building the package (entirely possible) or this requires a fix elsewhere as well.

I've been experiencing this issue as well, on my Intel Cannon Point-LP CNVI. These links may be helpful with fixing the bug:

Similar issue.

I have 2 wifi that don't work: tp-link tl-wn725n (Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8188EUS 802.11n Wireless Network Adapter) and intel centrino advanced-n 6200.
The intel 6200 it works after on/off wirlles (multiple time), and it's on asus x555la if it maters.

That is certainly odd.
I'm on the unstable branch, and I had no such issues, not on my 9260, nor on my AX200 (the AX200 does heat up to ~50-55 degrees occasionally, however I expect that to be due to how new it is), perhaps it is due to the fact that I was busy using my computer at the time, and did not have to time to reboot it until the issue was fixed.

@mtcos I also have the TL-WN725N, and it works without any issues, other than the well known Realtek issues (poor performance in comparison to competing products, poorer perfomance the weaker the PC is, increased CPU usage and battery drain, etc.) that are due to incompetent drivers (it's worse on Windows, since you don't have volunteers patching the drivers and improving them there).
The Centrino 6200 should work without issues, however I do have a Centrino 6250, whose support is pretty spotty in general, and which apparently did not get very good support from Intel beyond Windows 7, so I don't know.

Hi there, just chiming in to also say that WiFi is now working with the latest linux-current (5.2.13 at the time of writing) on my hardware (Cannon Point-LP CNVi).

Hi on tp-link TL-WN725N now it connect to my wifi but don't conect to internet and it apears "?" on wifi icon. the centrino 6200 it works some times when power on my laptop other time i have to play whit on/off wifi and between 2.4 g and 5g to connect to one.

this is my demsg whit TL-WN725N: https://pastebin.com/adnuDEwr

mtcos added a comment.Sep 27 2019, 7:43 AM

moriel5 whit TL-WN725N I have many lost packages when it's connect and that's rare on pc. when i move TL-WN725N on to my laptop it dosen't connect or it losing the connection. whit the centrino advance-n 6200 agn I don't know why but if i delete(forget) the wifi then if dosen't connect 2.4g/5g it ask for password again and again.
i know it is something whit the new firmware (or maybe kernel?), because it was working before both wifi's.

Closing as my issue is resolved.

@mtcos Given that this issue is specifically for the Intel wireless firmware your issue is extremely likely to be unrelated given that you are having issues with TP-Link hardware. You should open a separate issue.
