Suspend issue
Closed, InvalidPublic

I have a problem suspending my laptop. After suspend it does not wake up. The screen becomes black and I think it isn't even on... Then I force shutdown to turn off the pc. I've tried to follow some fixes but nothing really worked. I tried to follow T487 solution without fixing it. Maybe it's because Nvidia drivers?

I'm using Solus 64 bits.

Laptop specs:
Acer Aspire E1-570G
Intel Core i3-3217U (1,8GHz, 3MB L3 cache)
(Nvidia GeForce GT 740M 2GB VRAM) *EDIT: I'm not using Nvidia graphics, I'm using Intel® Ivybridge Mobile* (Thats what Details shows)
I don't know if you need more info, just ask me if you need.

Does it happen in other distros? For distros with some kind of Live environment, you could quickly test by booting into it and typing systemctl suspend. Arch, Ubuntu, Fedora, and openSUSE could be tested with this.

Yes it does. I had this while using Ubuntu and Fedora, so maybe this is some kernel bug?

Anyways, something weird happens when I try to wake up the pc. There are lights that show some info about hdd, wireless, power, etc... When I suspend and then wake up, just the one which means the laptop is on. That means the hdd and wireless are not working? Of course screen is off and I have to shutdown

Thanks for asking!

Is this still a problem with all the latest updates?

I don't know, i just installed other distros to make sure it isn't only a Solus problem, and that's right... This is maybe a kernel issue or just my computer. I will try with the latests updates of Solus and i will tell you the results asap.
